Tidal DJ Integration is a subscription tier from Tidal that connects the platform's music catalog, including CD-quality and high-resolution FLAC audio up to 24-bit/192kHz, to supported DJ software such as Serato DJ Pro, Virtual DJ, Rekordbox, djay Pro, and others. It allows DJs to browse and stream tracks from within their software, using the same workflow as locally stored files. Offline caching support varies by software: Serato does not support it due to DRM restrictions, while some platforms such as Virtual DJ and DJUCED allow limited offline caching.
Why it matters
Tidal's catalog includes major-label mainstream and crossover music that is harder to source through specialist DJ stores, making it useful for open-format and mobile DJs who need broad repertoire coverage alongside their existing download library.
In practice
Tidal now delivers lossless FLAC at up to 24-bit/192kHz on its HiFi Plus tier, replacing the MQA format it discontinued in July 2024. CD-quality FLAC (44.1 kHz / 16-bit) is available on the standard HiFi tier. Either tier is superior to 320 kbps MP3 for professional use.
