Rekordbox (both classic XML and the Rekordbox 6 and 7 database), Serato (library and crates), Traktor (NML collection), and Engine DJ (database), plus any folder of audio files. Existing playlists and crates come in intact and can be mapped to vibes during import.
Yes. Mark a folder as watched and Vibes imports new files automatically while it is open, and rescans on startup so anything you dropped in while it was closed gets picked up. One-off drag and drop still works alongside it, so a folder you only want to pull in once does not have to be watched.
Two ways, both fast. For a one-off, click the BPM or key right in the track row: BPM opens an inline editor with halve and double buttons, key opens a Camelot dropdown, no dialog to open. For a whole import, one sidebar action selects every track missing BPM or key, and a bulk re-analyze fills only the gaps.
Everything you sort and search on: BPM, key, rating, and which playlists or crates each track belongs to. A plain folder of files carries almost none of that, and each DJ app keeps its own copy in its own database, so the work does not travel between apps on its own. Getting it into one workspace is what makes a big collection searchable rather than just large.
Not by itself. Vibes references your files where they are on disk and leaves the audio alone; the one exception is when you edit Title, Artist, BPM or Key in the Track Inspector and save, which writes those tags into the file. Importing reads your existing library instead of rewriting it, so your DJ software keeps pointing at the same files and nothing you have already set up in Rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, or Engine DJ changes because you opened Vibes.
No. Your library, analysis, and tags live on your machine. Vibes works fully offline with no account, so a weak connection at a venue changes nothing about what you can do. There is nothing to upload and no sync step to wait through before you start working on your collection.
Start with one list. Get every track from your DJ apps and your folders into a single library, then clean it: fix missing BPM and key, clear the duplicates, and rate what you actually play. Only then tag, and tag by what a track is for, not only its genre, because that is what you search on at 1am. Keep the tagging somewhere that exports back to rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, or Engine DJ, so your crates rebuild themselves.
