Vibes is live
Fast tagging

Tag your music library fast.

The fast way to tag a music library is one track at a time from the keyboard: hear the track, press a key for each label, press another key for the next one. Editing rows in a library grid is slower, because you first have to work out what a whole selection has in common before you can tag any of it. Vibe Sort turns your untagged tracks into that queue, with hotkeys, star ratings, and AI suggestions you accept or reject as you go.

Vibe Sort in Vibes with one track centered, the vibe grid below it, and the keyboard legend

One track on screen, your vibes below, keys to assign them.

How it works.

Step 01Open the queue

Vibe Sort loads the tracks in your library that have no vibes yet, newest first. A counter shows how many are left and a progress bar fills as you work, so a backlog has a visible end.

Step 02Play, tag, next

Hit P or hover the card to hear the centered track. Focus your vibes with A and D, assign with space, rate with 1 to 5, then press enter for the next one. While audio is running, Next drops into the following track a third of the way in, past the intro.

Step 03Send the tags to your DJ software

Every vibe exports as a playlist or crate, nested under your own category names, into rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, or Engine DJ.

Tag music library fast, track by track.

A dedicated screen for the backlog: your keys, your own vibe system, and suggestions that learn your picks.

Hotkeys

Both hands stay on the keyboard.

A and D move across your vibes and W and S move between rows, space assigns the focused vibe, P plays and pauses, the arrow keys step between tracks, and 1 to 5 sets a star rating. Press the same number again to clear it. The navigation and playback keys are all rebindable in Settings; the rating keys are fixed.

Auto-Tag

Suggestions you accept or reject.

Hit Auto-Tag on the centered track and Vibes proposes vibes straight from the audio, on your machine. Keep the ones that fit, drop the ones that miss, and the model sharpens on your picks instead of a generic taste profile.

Ratings

Rate in the same pass.

Sorting is the one moment you are actually listening, so the star rating sits on the centered card. Press 1 to 5 while the track plays, press the same number again to clear it. Ratings become a filter later, next to BPM, key, and vibe. One caveat the export dialog flags: Serato crate files cannot carry ratings, so that one stays inside Vibes.

Your system

Tag with your own vibes, not a fixed list.

The vibes on screen are the ones you built in Vibe Creator, grouped under categories you named. Switch between the grid and the strip layout, and between cards and pills, depending on how many vibes you sort with.

Frequently asked questions

The honest answers, including the trade-offs.

Stop hunting through the grid. rekordbox tags through My Tag checkboxes in a panel on the right, Serato by double-clicking the Comment or Grouping field in the library, Traktor by right-clicking a selection and filling in the Edit dialog. In all three you still have to find the untagged tracks yourself and audition them one by one. A queue that loads only the untagged ones and takes hotkeys removes both steps. Task by app: rekordbox, Serato, Traktor.
Vibes and a star rating. Vibes are the labels you define yourself in Vibe Creator, grouped into categories you name, and one track can carry as many as apply. Ratings run 1 to 5 from the number keys. There is no fixed genre list to squeeze into, so mood, energy, moment in the night, or crowd all work as categories. More on the system: Vibe Organization.
Newest first by default, which puts a fresh import at the front of the queue. One click switches to Smart order, where the model puts the tracks it can learn the most from first. One more click switches to Shuffle, a random order that stays stable for the session. Refresh reloads the queue after you have imported more music.
Yes. The queue holds tracks with no vibes yet, so a tagged track will not come back on its own. Select the rows in All Songs and pick Add to Sort from the Actions menu, or use the same action on a row inside a combination, and they join the queue. That queue survives a restart, so a re-tagging pass does not have to happen in one sitting.
No, and that is deliberate. Auto-Tag runs on the centered track and proposes vibes from its audio, and you keep or drop each one. It works from the very first track and gets sharper as it learns which vibes you pick. It runs locally, so nothing about your library leaves your machine. Details: Auto-Tagging.
Yes. Export writes every vibe as a playlist or crate, nested under your category names, into rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, or Engine DJ, with optional BPM or Camelot key sub-folders. Only the playlist and crate files get written, so your audio stays where it is, and your DJ app stays the place you actually play from. See Export to DJ software.
No. Vibes works on the audio files you own, on your own machine, so streaming tracks from Spotify, TIDAL, or Beatport are out of scope. Anything you bring in from rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, Engine DJ, an Apple Music or iTunes library XML, or a plain folder lands in the queue instead. See Import your library.
