Vibe tagging AI

Tagging that learns your taste.

Hit Auto-Tag and Vibes suggests vibes for a new track straight from its audio, out of the box. On top of that it learns from your own tagging, so it keeps getting sharper at predicting the vibes you would pick. It all runs on your machine.

Auto-tag suggests vibes, trained on your picks.

How it works.

Step 01Hit Auto-Tag

On any track, click the Auto-Tag button. Vibes suggests vibes straight from the audio, so it works from the very first track, before you have taught it anything.

Step 02Tag your way

Accept the suggestions, reject the ones that miss, or add your own. Every choice teaches the model how you hear music.

Step 03It sharpens to you

The more you tag, the better it predicts the vibes you would have picked, and it stops repeating the mistakes you rejected.

Tagging that actually gets you.

It works on day one, runs on your machine, and sharpens the more you tag.

Auto-tag learns from vibes you picked. For newer vibes, it can still make a name-based guess.

Learned uses tagged tracks and is more accurate. Guessing uses the vibe name, so it still works but is less accurate.

On your machine

Private by design.

The model trains and runs locally. Your library and your tags never leave your computer, and there is no account and no cloud service in the loop.

Works now, learns on top

Useful from track one, then yours.

Every track gets an audio embedding, so Vibes can suggest vibes from the sound alone on day one. On top of that, a small classifier learns the link between how a track sounds and the vibes you give it, so its picks keep moving toward yours.

A confidence dot shows how sure the model is for each track. Vibes always applies its picks; the dot just tells you when it is less certain.

Feedback that sticks

Rejections teach it too.

When you reject a suggested vibe, Vibes records that rejection and stops proposing the same wrong tag for that track. Corrections are not lost between sessions; they steer the next training pass, so the model converges on your taste instead of repeating its misses.

Under your control

Retrain or reset whenever you want.

After a big tagging session, force a fresh retrain from Settings so suggestions catch up immediately instead of waiting for the next Auto-Tag run. And if you rebuild your whole vibe system, you can reset the auto-tag data entirely and let the model relearn from your new structure.

Frequently asked questions

The honest answers, including the trade-offs.

Yes. From the very first track it can suggest vibes straight from the audio. Once you have tagged a few dozen tracks of your own, it also learns your taste and gets noticeably sharper on top of that.
The learning layer becomes genuinely useful after your first fifty or so tags in Vibe Sort, because each vibe needs enough examples to train on. Vibes with too few examples fall back to audio-only suggestions until you feed them more, so the system degrades gracefully instead of guessing.
No. Auto-Tag predicts your vibes, the categories and tags you defined, not a fixed genre list. Two DJs with different vibe systems get different suggestions for the same track, because each model is trained only on its own library.
The dot on the Auto-Tag button shows high, medium, or low confidence for the next suggestion run, based on how well the model knows tracks like the one in front of you. It is honest about uncertainty instead of treating every pick as equally solid.
No. The embeddings and the model live on your machine, the analysis runs locally, and Vibes works fully offline with no account.
Yes. You can force a fresh retrain after a big tagging session, or reset the auto-tag data entirely to start the model over.
No. Suggestions only add vibes the model is confident about and skip anything already on the track. You stay in control of every tag.
