Rekordcloud itself is retired, so nothing replaces it exactly: Vibes takes the library you already own, tags it by mood and energy, analyzes BPM, key and energy, and exports clean playlists back to rekordbox, Serato, Traktor or Engine DJ. Rekordcloud began as a website tool, and its maker says an app on the computer soon proved inevitable: DJs still call that helper the Rekordcloud companion app in old forum threads. Cue points, conversion and cleanup now live in Lexicon DJ, so a Rekordcloud Reddit thread or a search for a Rekordcloud wiki points at something that no longer runs. No, the two are unrelated. Crossfader is an online DJ school at wearecrossfader.co.uk that sells DJ courses, so a crossfader dj course, a crossfader login or a crossfader youtube search belongs to that brand and not to library software. A crossfader app is a mixing tool. On a mixer, the crossfader meaning is simply the fader that blends one deck into the other. Rekordcloud only ever touched your files.

Its own successor first: Lexicon, Rekordcloud's desktop replacement from the same maker. MIXO (mixo.dj) is the cloud route, and MIXO:BRIDGE moves libraries in and out of DJ apps. Crate Hackers sells a Rekord Cloud add-on, which is what cratehackers.com Rekordcloud searches turn up. Vibes is the offline, pay-once route for tagging and set building.
