Use Spotify with djay Pro.
Yes, Spotify works inside djay again: you need Spotify Premium, djay 5.6 or later, and one of the 51 markets where the integration launched in September 2025. Log in from djay's music library and the full catalog loads onto the decks, but Neural Mix, recording, Spotify's offline mode and lossless playback stay switched off.

Vibes organizes the files you own; the streamed catalog stays inside djay.
Use Spotify in djay Pro, step by step.
The djay Pro Spotify integration returned in September 2025 after five years away. It is a login, not a download: the tracks stream, so nothing lands on your drive.
Check the requirements first
You need an active Spotify Premium account and djay version 5.6 or later. Algoriddim lists the minimums as iOS 15, iPadOS 15, Android 10, macOS 10.15 and Windows 10 version 21H1. Spotify launched the DJ software integration in 51 markets, so the source only appears if your account sits in one of them.
Open the music library and find the Spotify source
Open djay and look at the music library. Connected streaming services appear in the sidebar next to My Collection and djay Music, alongside Apple Music, TIDAL, SoundCloud and Beatport. Select Spotify in that list. Until you sign in, the source shows a login prompt instead of any tracks.
Log in to your Premium account
Select Log in to Spotify on the source and authorize djay with your Premium credentials. On a Mac you can also use the Library menu, or Preferences and the Library tab; on Windows the three-line menu and Library; on iOS the cog icon and Library; on Android the Algoriddim logo, Settings and Library. The same tabs are where you log back out.
Browse, search and load the decks
Once you are signed in you get the full Spotify catalog, Your Library and Spotify's editorial picks. Search the whole catalog on the fly, filter by BPM and key, and drag a track onto a deck. djay loads up to four tracks at once, and you can create and reorder Spotify playlists inside the app.
Mix, and add hardware or Automix
Mixer, filters, effects, cue points and looping all work on streamed tracks, including in the free version of djay. Algoriddim lists over 100 plug and play controllers, mixers, audio interfaces and CDJs. djay Pro AI Spotify features such as Automix, which beat matches a playlist for you, come with the djay Pro subscription.
Know what is switched off
Some things stop working when you use djay Pro with Spotify tracks. Algoriddim lists Neural Mix, recording, Analyze Library and Match as unavailable, and on the Spotify side offline mode and lossless playback are off. Everything you play has to stream live, so a stable connection is part of the setup.
The catch
Streamed tracks are licensed, not owned. Nothing you play from Spotify can be exported to a USB stick, backed up or opened in another app, and if a track leaves the catalog or the deal changes, it leaves your playlists with it.
Where Vibes fits
Stream for discovery, own the files you build sets on.
Vibes has no Spotify import and no streaming playback: it works on the files you own. Where it helps is the other half of your library, the tracks that are already on your drive. Import them from rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, Engine DJ, an Apple Music XML or a plain folder, analyze and tag them, then export playlists back to your DJ app.
See how it worksOrganize in Vibes, export to djay Pro.
Your playlists, tags, ratings, and cue points travel back to the gear you play on, so nothing you do in Vibes is locked away.
