Use Spotify in Serato DJ.

Serato DJ Pro and Serato DJ Lite 3.3.5 or later stream Spotify Premium tracks straight to the decks: open Setup, go to Library + Display, Music Streaming, switch on Show Streaming Services, pick Spotify, and log in through your browser. Streamed tracks need a live internet connection, load on two decks at most, arrive at up to 320 kbps, and cannot be used offline, with Stems, or while recording.

Use Spotify in Serato DJ, step by step.

The Serato Spotify integration works in both the paid app and the free one, and setup takes about a minute. You need an active Spotify Premium subscription, Serato DJ Pro or Lite 3.3.5 or later, and a stable internet connection.

Check the requirements first

To use Serato with Spotify you need a Premium subscription, not the free tier, and version 3.3.5 or later of either app. Serato also lists the countries where Spotify streaming in DJ software has launched, covering North America, most of Europe, parts of Asia and the Pacific, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Outside that list the option does not appear.

Turn on Music Streaming in Setup

Open the app and navigate to Setup, then Library + Display, then Music Streaming. Enable Show Streaming Services if it is switched off, then select Spotify from the list of streaming services. Spotify sits next to Apple Music, Beatport, SoundCloud and Tidal in the same panel, so you can have more than one service enabled.

Log in through your browser

Click Sign up / Login to Spotify. Serato hands you to your default browser to sign in, sign up, or continue with an account you are already signed in to. Confirm, then click Allow on the pop-up that offers to send you back to the app. The Music Streaming panel then shows your account as logged in.

Search the catalog

Click the Streaming Search button next to the search box. Focus switches to the ALL crate and streaming results become searchable, with an icon next to each streamed track so you can tell it apart from your own files. Click the button again to jump back to the crate and track you had selected before.

Build playlists without leaving the app

From version 4.0.4 you can manage playlists in place. Expand the Spotify library icon, open Your Library, then Playlists, and use Create playlist. Drag tracks onto a playlist to add them, right click to rename or delete. A Serato Spotify playlist is a real playlist on your account, so a deletion here removes it from Spotify everywhere.

Mix streamed tracks into your crates

Also from 4.0.4, you can drag a Spotify track onto an existing Serato crate, which is the one place where Spotify and Serato share a container. The crate then holds a mix of streamed entries and local files. Load a streamed track to a deck as usual, keeping in mind that Spotify playback is limited to two decks at a time.

The catch

Streamed tracks are licensed, not owned. Serato Spotify stems are not available, recording is not supported on Spotify tracks, playback stops without an internet connection, and nothing you stream becomes a file on your drive, so there is nothing to back up, copy to a USB stick, or keep if the subscription lapses.

Yes. Serato and Spotify have worked together since version 3.3.5, in the paid app and the free one, and you need an active Spotify Premium subscription plus an internet connection. Spotify sits alongside the other streaming sources, Apple Music, Beatport, SoundCloud and Tidal, in the same Music Streaming panel. For the closest alternative, see Apple Music in Serato.
Most Serato Spotify not working reports come down to five causes: a version older than 3.3.5, a subscription that is not Premium, an expired login, a country where the DJ integration has not launched, or a dropped connection. Serato greys out the Streaming Search button when the connection to the server fails, which is the quickest tell. Sign out and back in under Setup, Library + Display, Music Streaming.
On the desktop, Serato DJ Pro, Serato DJ Lite, rekordbox 7 and djay Pro all connect a Spotify Premium account. The setup is similar in each one: enable the service, authorize it in a browser, then search or open your playlists. See Spotify in rekordbox and Spotify in djay Pro. Each app has its own restrictions on offline use, stems and recording.
No. Serato states that Spotify streaming in the Pro and Lite apps requires an active internet connection for playback, and there is no offline cache of streamed tracks. If the venue connection is unreliable, plan around it: carry the tracks you own as files on your drive, and treat streaming as a backup rather than as the set itself.
You cannot. Spotify tracks are licensed streams, not files, so nothing lands on your drive and there is no supported way to convert them. Tools that promise it break Spotify's terms and hand you worse audio than buying the track. If you want music you keep, buy it from a store or use a pool (DJ record pools), then analyze and organize those files.
You can, and plenty of people do at house parties and low pressure bar gigs. The limits are the ones above: a live connection, two decks, no stems, no recording, and no fallback if the wifi drops or a track leaves the catalog. Two different things carry that name. Spotify's own AI DJ feature lives in the Spotify app and plays a personalized stream for listening: it is not a mixing tool and it does not appear in Serato. What you want here is the streaming integration: Setup, Library + Display, Music Streaming, Show Streaming Services, then Spotify. That is the only Spotify DJ mode inside Serato.
It is excellent for finding music and for rehearsing, and workable for casual gigs. It is weaker as a working library: on Serato Stems, Spotify tracks are excluded, recording is blocked, playback needs the internet, and quality tops out at 320 kbps. Files you own carry none of those limits, and they are the ones you can analyze, tag and rearrange in a library tool like Vibes.
Streaming needs 3.3.5 or later, so anyone hunting a Serato DJ Pro 3.3.2 download will not see the option at all. Install the Serato DJ Pro latest version instead: 4.0.9 shipped on 8 July 2026, and in-app playlist editing and crate support arrived in 4.0.4. Serato DJ Pro for Mac and Serato DJ Pro for Windows come from the same page on serato.com, and older builds, including any Serato DJ Pro 4.0 download, sit in the Serato DJ Pro archive.
Yes. Serato DJ Lite streams Spotify under the same Premium requirement, so a Serato DJ free download is enough to try this. There is no Serato DJ Pro free download for Windows 10 or for macOS: Pro is paid, with a trial on serato.com. Ignore anything offering a Serato DJ Pro download free of charge elsewhere, and the threads behind Serato DJ Pro crack Reddit: unofficial builds get no updates and no support. There is no Serato DJ Pro apk either, since it is a Mac and Windows desktop app.
