Rekordcloud alternatives, starting with its own successor.
Rekordcloud's web app is not the product any more: its maker decided a browser was the wrong home for a library manager, rebuilt it as a desktop app called Lexicon in 2022, and kept Rekordcloud as the company name. So the closest rekordcloud alternative is Lexicon itself, with Mixo if the cloud sync was the part you wanted, Crate Hackers if it was crate building and cleanup, and a local organize-and-prep app if the browser was never the point.

Library work left the browser years ago. The tools that replaced it, compared.
The alternatives, compared.
Rekordcloud was a browser-based library suite: it converted collections between DJ apps, generated cue points, and cleaned up messy metadata. The company rebuilt that idea as a desktop app, Lexicon, so the first alternative is simply the product Rekordcloud turned into. The other three split the rest of the old job between them: cloud sync, crate building, and local organizing. One of them, Vibes, is ours, so read that row knowing who wrote this page.

Our verdict If you liked Rekordcloud, this is the continuation of it rather than a rival. Start on the free conversion tier and only pay when the cleanup tools earn it.

Our verdict This suits the DJ who never wanted a cloud service, only a collection that is tagged, analyzed and ready to export before the gig.

How we compared them.
Every tool here was checked against its own site in August 2026, not against old reviews. Prices, supported apps and platforms come from the vendor's pricing or product pages, and where a vendor does not publish a number we say so rather than guess.
The four were judged on the same questions. Does it read and write the DJ app you actually play on, in both directions? Does its organizing go past folders and genre into the mood and energy tags that decide what you reach for late in a set? Where does your collection live? And what does it cost across a few years, once a monthly plan compounds?
There is no single winner, because these solve different pains. Lexicon is the converter and repair shop, and the direct heir to Rekordcloud. Mixo is the sync layer for multi-machine and mobile setups. Crate Hackers is a crate supply line with cleanup tools attached. Vibes, our own, is the mood and energy layer for set prep. Point each candidate at a few hundred tracks you know well and see which one makes them easier to play.
What to check before you switch.
Is it still being built?
Rekordcloud is the lesson here: the web app stopped because its maker moved on, not because it broke. Favor tools that ship updates and keep pace with current versions of rekordbox, Serato, Traktor and Engine DJ.
Where the library lives
A cloud tool holds your collection behind an account, which is what makes syncing to a second machine easy and what makes an outage or a lapsed plan painful. A local tool keeps the files and the database on your drive. Pick the trade you can live with.
What actually crosses over
Read each tool's list before you trust it: playlists, cue points, loops, beat grids, ratings and comments all transfer separately. A move that loses your cue points has only done half the work, and you find out after the import.
Rent or own
Three of these are subscriptions, one is a single purchase, and two offer a lifetime option. Over several years of DJing the difference is large, so decide whether this is a tool you use once to migrate or every week before a gig.
One organized library, every app.
Vibes imports from and exports to Rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, and Engine DJ, so the software you pick is never a lock-in.

Methodology
How we keep this honest.
Verified against the source
Every claim about each app is checked against its official site and current pricing.
We own our bias
We make Vibes, a library tool, not DJ mixing software. The picks above are independent, and we recommend the app that fits you, not the one paired with us.
Live pricing
The Vibes price shown comes straight from our checkout, never a hardcoded marketing number.
