Use Apple Music in Rekordbox.
Yes. Rekordbox has streamed Apple Music since ver. 7.1.0 on Mac and Windows and ver. 4.4.0 on iOS: click the Apple Music icon in Media Browser, sign in, and the catalog appears in the browser panel next to your own files. The part most guides skip is the ceiling. Streamed tracks are online only, so USB EXPORT, LINK EXPORT, recording and STEMS are all blocked on them, and there is no offline locker.

Use Apple Music in Rekordbox, step by step.
Can you use Apple Music with Rekordbox? Yes: the Rekordbox Apple Music integration landed in ver. 7.1.0 and puts the catalog in the browser panel, right next to your own files.
Update Rekordbox to version 7.1.0 or later
Apple Music arrived in rekordbox ver. 7.1.0 for Mac and Windows and ver. 4.4.0 for rekordbox for iOS, released March 25, 2025. Check yours under [rekordbox] > [About rekordbox] on Mac, or [Help] > [About rekordbox] on Windows. There is no Apple Music Rekordbox 6 route: version 6 only ever shipped TIDAL, Beatport, Beatsource and SoundCloud. Any Rekordbox DJ Apple Music setup starts with the version 7 update.
Show Apple Music in the tree view
If [Apple Music] is missing from the left-hand tree, it is switched off in the layout settings rather than broken. Open the [Preferences] window, go to the [View] category, open the [Layout] tab and tick [Apple Music]. Streaming services cannot be shown on the sub browser screen, only on the main one, so check the right window before you go hunting.
Connect Apple Music to Rekordbox from the Media Browser
Check that [PERFORMANCE] is selected in the upper-left corner, then click the Apple Music icon in Media Browser and click [Log in] or [Sign in]. Your web browser opens the Apple Music sign-in window. Sign in with the account that holds the subscription and the library loads into rekordbox. Apple Music works in EXPORT mode too. To sign out, right-click [Apple Music] in the tree view and select [Log out].
Browse the catalog or search for a track
The Apple Music tree gives you [Search], [Library] for your own playlists, [Home] for tracks picked from your recent listening, [Charts], [Genres], and an update button that refreshes the library. Click a title or artist inside [Genres] and a preview player opens, so you can hear a track before you commit it to your collection.
Add Apple Music to Rekordbox, then analyze the track
Right-click a track and select [Import To Collection]. The file downloads into [Collection] and gets its own marker. Import one track at a time. Loading an un-imported track onto a deck starts the import by itself. BPM and key only appear after analysis: set the [Preferences] window > [Analysis] tab > [Track Analysis] > [Auto Analysis] to [Enable], or right-click the track and choose [Analyze Track].
Turn on Rekordbox Apple Music explicit playback
Tracks flagged with an [E] are held back until you allow them. Open the [Preferences] window, choose the [Advanced] category, open the [Others] tab, and under [Apple Music] enable [Explicit]. Leave it off for family rooms and daytime bookings. Separately, some tracks carry a marker meaning they cannot be played in rekordbox at all, and no preference changes that.
Learn what streamed tracks will not do
Before you build a set on them, read the limitations. Streamed tracks cannot be loaded into a sampler slot, played over LINK EXPORT, exported by USB EXPORT, recorded, captured from the enlarged waveform, backed up, or edited in the track information panel. The streaming tree view itself cannot be reorganized. Stems, Rekordbox, Apple Music: only two of those three go together.
The catch
Apple Music tracks in Rekordbox stream and nothing else. There is no Rekordbox Apple Music offline locker of the kind Beatport, Beatsource, TIDAL and SoundCloud offer, so a dropped connection ends the track mid-set. In Rekordbox, iTunes, Apple Music app files sitting on your own drive are a different matter: those you own, analyze, cue and export to a USB stick as normal.
Where Vibes fits
The half of your collection you actually own still needs a library that makes sense.
Vibes has no streaming import and no streaming playback: it works on files you own, and it never touches a licensed stream. What it does is take the purchased and downloaded side of your collection and make it fast to search. Import Wizard reads a rekordbox library, an Apple Music or iTunes Library.xml, or a plain folder, analyzes every file, and exports playlists back to rekordbox as a folder tree.

Your playlists, tags, ratings, and cue points travel back to the gear you play on, so nothing you do in Vibes is locked away.
