Import your Serato history into Vibes and tag every track you played by energy, mood, and role.

Export your played history in Serato DJ Pro, step by step.

Serato DJ Pro automatically logs every track you play into session entries inside the History panel. You can export any session as a txt, csv, or m3u file, or save its tracks as a permanent crate for future use.

01

Open the History panel

In Serato DJ Pro, click the History button in the toolbar. A panel opens listing every past session by date. Each session is cataloged by date and time, and you can use the dropdown arrow to navigate to any previous session.

02

Locate your target session

Click the session date you want in the History panel. The track list loads showing every track played in that session in order. Sessions are organized chronologically in the History panel left sidebar.

03

Export the session list as a file

Highlight (click) the session date in the History panel. Use the Format dropdown to choose your export type: txt (plain text), csv (opens in spreadsheet software), m3u (playlist for media players), or Serato Playlists (uploads to serato.com). Then click the Export button near the bottom of the panel. Serato saves the file to a History Export folder inside your _Serato_ folder.

04

Save the session as a crate for continued use

To save a session's tracks as a permanent Serato crate, select the session in the History panel and drag it to the + (plus) crate button. Serato automatically names the new crate with the session date. The crate appears in your Crates sidebar and persists across sessions.

The catch

Serato's exported CSV is a flat file, so turning your history into an organized prep resource still requires manual work inside Serato or a third-party tool.

The faster way

Turn your play history into a tagged, prep-ready library

Vibes imports your entire Serato library, including History crates, reads the tracks you actually played, and lets you tag them by energy and mood so your history feeds your next session prep directly.

See how it works
Import Serato library and History crates directly, no CSV needed
Tag played tracks by feel in Vibe Sort, one key press per track
Auto-Tag suggests vibes based on audio and your own tagging history
Export organized crates back into Serato so your tagged history is ready to perform

Organize in Vibes, export to Serato DJ Pro.

Your playlists, tags, ratings, and cue points travel back to the gear you play on, so nothing you do in Vibes is locked away.

Frequently asked questions

The honest answers, including the trade-offs.

No. Vibes is a library prep and organization tool, not a performance app. Serato logs and exports your history because it is the app you play on. Vibes picks up after that: you import the history, tag it, and export organized crates back into Serato for your next session.
Yes. Vibes imports your Serato library including .crate files, so your History crates come in alongside your regular crates. You can then browse, tag, and organize those played tracks without any manual CSV export.
Yes. Vibes exports directly to Serato .crate files, one crate per vibe and one per set or combination. Those crates appear in your Serato sidebar on next launch. Note that Serato .crates do not carry ratings, cue points, or comments, so those fields are disabled on the Serato export in Vibes.
