How It Works
- Drop one or several files onto the online audio trimmer above
- Type the start and end second for each; end 0 means the end of the file
- Tick the join box if the trimmed parts should become one track
- Press Trim and download the result as WAV or MP3, with nothing uploaded
Cutter, Trimmer, Editor: The Same Job
An mp3 song cutter online, an audio file cutter online, an mp3 audio cutter online and an mp3 audio trimmer all do one thing: keep a range and throw the rest away. Some sites call the result an editor mp3 workflow, which oversells it, because a real editor also does fades, levels and crossfades. Here the split is deliberate. This page cuts and joins; the fade tool shapes the ends, the normalizer fixes the level, and the silence remover takes the dead air off automatically when you would rather not type the numbers yourself.
Why It Is Quicker Than an Upload Site
Most of what an upload-based online audio cutter spends its time on is not cutting, it is transfer: your file goes up, waits behind other users, and comes back down. On a 60 MB WAV that is most of the wait. Here the decode, the cut and the encode all run in the page, so a trim starts the moment you press the button, a whole DJ set trims as fast as a single track, and there is no size limit to design around. An audio cutter online that keeps the file local is also the only kind you can point at unreleased material at all: nothing leaves the machine, so nothing is sitting on someone else's server afterwards.
Joining, and When Not To
Joining writes the parts end to end with no crossfade, which is exactly right for a continuous recording split across files, an intro glued to a track, or a set of loops collected into one. It is the wrong tool for a mix: butting two tracks together at full volume gives you the join you asked for and a hard edge where a DJ would have blended. For that, fade the ends first, or plan the transition properly with the key and BPM finder.
What DJs Use It For
Three jobs come up again and again: cutting the long ambient intro off a promo so it drops where you want it, topping and tailing a recorded set before it goes to SoundCloud, and pulling a single usable loop or acapella section out of a longer file. A wav cutter is enough for all three, and none of them needs a DAW open. Once the files are right, keeping the library itself in order is a separate job, and the one the Vibes app does: key, BPM and energy written where rekordbox, Serato, Traktor and Engine DJ read them.

- How this page is made
- Tool pages are built from reusable page logic, internal DJ reference data, and visible on-page calculations. Programmatic reference pages are generated from structured data rather than hand-written one by one.
BPM, key, and genre labels can vary by edit, remaster, detection engine, and DJ software. Use these pages as a practical mixing reference, then verify important tracks in your own library.
