Pioneer DJ's Ethernet protocol for sharing track data, waveforms, and sync between linked CDJs.
PRO DJ LINK is a proprietary networking protocol from Pioneer DJ that connects CDJs and DJM mixers over a standard Ethernet switch, allowing units to share track metadata, waveforms, cue points, and beat sync information in real time. A Rekordbox-connected laptop can also join the link to stream tracks directly to the players.
Why it matters
On a linked setup, all players display the same waveform and beatgrid data, enabling the sync button, quantized cue points, and real-time BPM sharing across decks. It also allows a laptop export to be broadcast live rather than pre-written to USB.
