Record your set in Rekordbox, step by step.
Rekordbox includes a recording function in its Performance mode. These steps walk you through setting it up and capturing your mix to a file you can share or archive.
Open the Recording panel in Performance mode
Switch to Performance mode in Rekordbox. Look for the REC button or Recording panel in the toolbar area at the top of the interface. Click it to expand the recording controls.
Set your output folder and format in Preferences, then select your audio source
Before recording, go to Preferences and navigate to the Recordings tab. Set your destination folder there and choose a file format (WAV or AIFF are both lossless and best for archiving or further editing). Back in the recording panel, select the audio source you want to capture, typically the Master Out. Check your levels using the level meter before continuing.
Hit Record and play your set
Click the Record button to start capturing. Rekordbox will record everything routed through the master output from that point. Play your set as normal, mixing track to track.
Stop recording and review the file
When your set is finished, click Stop. Rekordbox writes the audio file to the folder you configured in Preferences. Open it in any audio player to review the recording before sharing or uploading.
The catch
Rekordbox recording captures audio only. To review the tracks you played and their order, open the Histories section in the Media Browser - Rekordbox automatically logs every track played for at least one minute in Performance mode, grouped by date. What the recording cannot tell you is the precise timing of transitions or how each mix landed, so listening back to the audio file remains the best way to evaluate your actual mixing.

Where Vibes fits
Plan every transition before you press record.
Vibes does not record audio, but it handles the prep work that makes a recorded set worth listening to. Use Set Designer to sequence your tracklist, check key compatibility, and save transition notes before you open Rekordbox.
